I would really like some help setting up my Limesat for private server. I want to do this is apprecaition for all the help gopalmm2 has provided. Maybe if I can create a stickey for this he can get a break or two.

I have a donation number, I can ping the sever fine, etc.

I have loaded Factory Bin 201, Then Private bin V118

1) sever settings. – Top page lists 1 through 9.
Does it matter which server number is used?
What do you do with the rest of the servers not used? leave them? disable them?

2) TCP port
This comes with your donation email. We are provided two.
do we use both? one? etc

3) DES Key
This comes from the donation email as well. self explanatory

4) User Name
same as donation number.

5) Password
Same as donation number

6) Network Setting
NewCS – this cannot be changed, hard coded by Limesat

7) hit the blue button and you’re watching TV? well wait I must be missing something thus the post. Anyone toss me a bone?

What about the sat settings? Did you set that uo and do you get good signal? do you get free channels?

Use only one, the first server line.

You need to use only one port. 2nd port can be used for another receiver.

USE SERVER ONE, leave the rest alone.

I didnt need to hit the blue INIT button. the LIMESAT connected as soon as the password was entered.

My problem is getting the Des keys to input in the receiver. It will except 14 characters and then it goes blank. I have noticed that here are about (4 )f f f f in that space that I can not delete no matter what I do. It looks like you can only input a set number of characters in that area. Please help.

did you load the V201 and V118 bins? did that process go smoothly?
are you on the first page to input in DES info. That would be server 1

Don’t delete the numbers, just start put the des keys numbers in top……….

thats the problem deleteing the des keys that were there ,you just need to over write them ,if you dont get the letters to dissappear reload the 201 and 118 again and start over.

I have the free channel 101 up, but I cannot connect to server.
I have put in DES keys, password, & port # & user name per email
channels all scanned ok. the IP/URL has me confused.
